I recently sent out a newsletter using some new software my website developer installed for me. It was really easy to use and I had great fun looking at the live stats. A map of the world was on my screen and a small flag popped up every time someone opened the newsletter. I watched as flags appeared in various cities in the UK, USA, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, etc. It was amazing. The newsletter has been out for a couple of days now and I am very happy with the number of clients and contacts who opened it.
I inserted a photo in the newsletter that showed me wearing some garments I had made by a local dressmaker. The fabric used for the garments featured my artwork and I selected it from a range of textiles produced by Cranston Print Works Company, the range is called “Kate’s Garden”. The Point Hotel, which is situated across from my studio, let me use its rooftop function room for the photo shoot; this meant I was fortunate enough to have Edinburgh Castle as a backdrop.
The newsletter also featured a photo of me standing in front of my booth at Surtex 2012.
